My Soft Animal Body
A collection of work reflecting on vulnerability, personal healing and how that process relates to our natural world.
The artist book My Soft Animal Body was printed and hand-bound at the University of Alberta in 2019.
The text is a verse from the poem Starlings in Winter by Mary Oliver. The type was hand-set in Univers 11 and printed on Kurotani washi. The images were produced through a combination of soft-ground copper etching and a laser-cut wood block. They are printed on Kurotani washi, Iwami natural washi and adhered to Stonehenge Fawn using chine-collé.
